Having had a life-long love of horses Alex gained a National Diploma in Equine management from Warwickshire College Moreton Morrell, this enforced a greater understanding of the horse in general. On leaving college Alex worked for several professionals in the industry concentrating mainly on riding and competing.

Equine Dentistry became a career after Alex trained alongside EDT Mat Carter full time for 4 years  as an apprentice. To further his experience, Alex worked alongside various other qualified EDT’s which has proven invaluable. In September 2005 Alex successfully passed the joint BEVA/BVDA examination. Every opportunity possible is taken to attend CPD (Continued Professional Development) courses to keep up to date with the latest scientific and practical advances.

Alex’s commitment to the ever growing profession of Equine Dentistry is underlined with his role as Vice Chairman of the British Association of Equine Dental Technicians.

In his spare time Alex enjoys competing at Eventing and taking his young daughters Milly and Evie  out hacking. Alex is also enjoys training his young gun dog who travels around as part of the team.
